300gsm Portuguese jersey cotton. Oversized fit. Embroidered patch on black twill, designed, cut, and sewn by hand.
The Shirt
Cut from 300gsm long-staple jersey cotton, made in Portugal by René Bassett. Heavy, soft, and built to hold its shape wash after wash. Oversized boxy silhouette with a dropped shoulder.
The Patch
Inspired by that brief moment at the start of each game when you're presented with a choice: to keep or not to keep.
The figure is embroidered on heavyweight black twill using single- and double-run stitching with thin satin borders. Madeira Polyneon 40 (1801) white thread on a stable woven cotton base. Each patch was designed and digitized in-house, machine-embroidered on a Ricoma EM-1010, then hand-cut and sewn onto the garment using cotton thread. No two are placed identically.
The Details
- Woven neck label with brand, origin, hand-marked shirt # and size, and care info
- Woven flag label at bottom left hem
- Front chest embroidery: "No Bad Hands." / d20 / "TO KEEP OR NOT TO KEEP"
- Back: full embroidered figure patch (~200mm tall)
- Hangtag: a Magic: The Gathering card, hand-painted and stamped with a serial number matching the shirt, placed in a Dragon Shield sleeve then punched with a metal eyelet.
Sizing
Oversized boxy fit. See last image for measurements. Model is 6'5"/185 lbs wearing a size Large.
Care
- Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors
- Hang dry or tumble low (delicates cycle)
- Turn inside out when ironing; do not iron directly on embroidered surface
- Do not bleach
- Edges of twill patch may fray a small degree; these can be left as is or trimmed with scissors; do not tear/pull these off.
